Im wondering if it’s possible to manipulate the thumbnails that show on the link I included without doing it through the featured image function on each individual portfolio page. Is there a way to add an image as the thumbnail in and of itself?

Hi.

You can use the images content source for your gallery. https://visualportfolio.co/documentation/portfolio-blocks/content-source/images/

p.s. custom images for posts will be a part of the PRO plugin in the next update. You will be able to add thumbnails and select a custom image to display it in portfolio layouts.
