Editing/Customizing the Homepage

    Hey All –

    Hope all is well. I’m somewhat of a noobie to the WordPress world – at least in a sense of building on a site theme. I was curious if someone would be willing to point me to helpful webinars/online reads/etc that would teach me more about developing my theme.

    I’m having a hard time figuring out how to edit the Front Page text that came with my theme (Biography by Yam Chhetri). I was under the impression it would be as simple as customizing the front page by clicking “edit page”, but the default text still stands and I’m not sure what my next move should be.

    Do I need to do this within the theme editor? If so – any helpful videos/books that may assist in walking me through this process?

    It could be built in to the actual template files or perhaps organized within the theme in a different area? Do you have experience looking at/editing the php files?
