Editor doesn’t work with PHP 8.2

    Hej,

    thanks for your nice widgets. Unfortunately, it no longer works after the PHP update to 8.2. When it is activated, I can no longer edit my posts and pages. If I deactivate it, all embedded images on the page disappear. I hope this can be fixed with a plugin update; otherwise, I would have to revert to an older, insecure PHP version. Or need to rebuild all my hundreds of posts. 😱

    Hi, thanks for your support and for letting us know about the issue. We’re using 8.2 ourselves and don’t currently have any issues in our logs. Do you perhaps have any experience using your Hosting File Manager and making very small file edits, perhaps in Notepad or similar? If you could enable WordPress debugging you could find out the exact error message which would be really helpful! If you might be up for that, you can find our guide here. The guide has been tweaked a few times, if there is anything in it that doesn’t make sense, please let us know. We’re always keen to try and improve our documentation for better understanding.

    There is a conflict with my theme rating plugin by cactusthemes and a shortcode plugin.

    Thanks for the update; glad to hear you’ve made progress by looking the debug log. When the troubleshooting process is complete you can set WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG back to false. Or, if you’re working on a staging/test site then leaving the constants set to true is appropriate.
