even with everything disabled
Can you explain what you mean by this in more detail?
When I disable the plugins, and go to the dashboard, and do the create page, it still does this.
See I thought it was a problem with buddy blog.. asked them.. they told me to disable everything (except like.. 3 plugins) and to try it..I did.. it still looped.. I went to the dash, created a page and just clicked the hyperlink button and the insanity continued. No fancy extra editor stuff was active (tiny, spacer, etc etc).. this is an editor issue, on mobile, have everything up to date.. uses chrome, sites php is current.
Also wish I could customize how it looks on mobile vs desktop but.. havnt found a plugin that lets me do that. I would probably have to learn CSS and figure out how to make sidebars and whatnot show differently on mobile.. or figure out how to make the http://m. thing work. But I don’t think WordPress is set up for that yet.. (sidetracked. sorry)
I won’t post the login details here but why do all the support places not want testing login details shared? Its just some testing account.. not the keys to the kingdom..

I appreciate you have tried to debug this already. Can you try deactivating all your plugins this time and then while all are deactivate, switch to one of the default Twenty* themes?
If you don’t have “Health check” already, install “Health Check” here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/
On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change to one of the default Twenty* themes, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time.

You’ll have to ask them, maybe it’s a problem in their business model. The industry standard is never to debug issues on the live site and instead replicate the issue in a controlled and safe environment. Serious development agencies do not do this.
Ok… this is different.
Just adding here that previously for this issue I was here so.. tidbits:
https://buddydev.com/support/forums/topic/buddy-blog-error-with-making-hyperlink/#post-22879
Ok… So I disabled everything.. switched to 2019 theme.. This is not the same editor I was seeing before. I tested the hyperlink deal and it doesn’t go into a funky loop.. from the dashboard “create page”..
But now… everything is disabled sooooo…. re-enable everything without…. what? lol.
It looks like this is an issue with BP Front End Editor which I noticed gave a warning about not having Tiny MCE activated… The classic editor changed the dashboard editor and.. even changed it while it was disabled. I’m still working this out but Unfortunatly I’m going to have to disable buddy blog until I can use it without it looping.. Neat plug in but super annoying when you want to add a link right now.
