Editor has disappeared
-
Since the update I cannot find a way to get back to my old editor view.
I have WPBakery (in a theme) it says it needs updating, but I cannot do this as it’s in a theme. On my editor dashboard I see:Backend editor | Frontend editor | Guttenberg editor
I then have tabs of either Visual or text, however the visual tab is showing like the text tab (with loads of code) it still has the tool bar at the top with some options, but not like before. I am not seeing any of the blocks, just code.* When I click on backend editor the block of code and toolbar disappears.
* When I click on frontend editor, I see the blocks, but I really don’t want to edit in this way.
Although I see Guttenberg as an option to click on (when I click on it, I get the exact same view as when I click on ‘classic mode’ with code and a tool bar at the top) I cannot seem to find any Guttenberg plugin or settings relating to Gutenberg anywhere in my site.
I had a clean-up of plugins a week or so ago and I deleted TinyMCE. I wonder if this could be causing it? (I have since re-installed this, but perhaps that is not correct)
Does this make any sense to anyone please?
Thanks very much,
