• Hi there,

I just noticed something strange. I use your plugin to simplify the screen for my clients when they login to their site. They have the ‘editor’ role.

I noticed that they cannot change the permalink (URL) of a new or existing post:

    > they change it and click on ‘OK’, it changes
    > they hit ‘Update’ to update the post and the permalink reverts to the default one

If I disable your plugin, editors can edit and save permalinks. As an administrator, I can also do it when your plugin is enabled.

Could you check this out, please? Thank you!

    Stefaan

PS I bought your import/export extension, saved me lots of time. Thanks!

    Hi stefaanoyen,
    Thank you for your feedback.

I’m sorry I don’t still have clear for your problem.

I noticed that they cannot change the permalink (URL)

Sorry, Is it the Change Permalink? Or is it Edit(slug)?
    Screenshot: http://gqevu6bsiz.chicappa.jp/?attachment_id=1696

    In Change Permalink case,
I think Editor not enough capability to manage_options.
OR, Change permalink hide setting of WP Admin UI Customize.http://gqevu6bsiz.chicappa.jp/?attachment_id=1698

    In Edit(slug) case,
I think permalink settings influence. http://gqevu6bsiz.chicappa.jp/?attachment_id=1697
    OR, Other plugins with conflict.

Could you please review these settings?
And, could you please try the check permalink after temporary stop other plugins?

    Thanks,
    gqevu6bsiz

Same here: my client – which has an Editor account – can’t successfully edit the post slug using the regular button, the one just under the Title field.

The «Slug» meta field works though, and I am using it as a workaround.

I am using a completely custom theme I developed, and the only other plugins installed are WordPress SEO and Advanced Custom Fields.

Thank you so much for the workaround!

gqevu6bsiz, seems to me it isn’t a theme or plugin conflict after all ; )

    Thanks for a great plugin!

    Hi iscarlets,
Thank you for your workaround and I was able to maybe understand the problem.

I try with Advanced Custom Fields and WordPress SEO and Twenty Fifteen of theme, but maybe conflict was not.
If you don’t mind, could you please try check the working when temporary change the default theme(Twenty Fifteen, Twenty Fourteen…etc)?

    Hi Stefaab,
I have tried several times in the Editor but worked well.
Did you have error of Javascript of something?

    Thanks,
    gqevu6bsiz
