Editor role problem

    I can create a user with the role of “Editor” but when that user tries to sign on and clicks on the dashboard, he is confronted with an almost blank screen with a few options on the left that do not work

    I have installed, activated and deactivated the plugin “Members” by Justin Tadlock – does not seem to make a difference
    All the other roles seem to work

    Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Ugh!
    I changed the theme to the default and now it works
    I did not deactivate any plugins
    Where can I go from here?
    I presume something in my ‘children’ is upsetting the roles?
    Can you help me track it down?

    Even more wierd
    I changed the theme back to the child theme and now it works

    What is going on?
    Or should I just be glad it is working again!
