• Hello,

We are currently testing WP Hide & Security Enhancer on Elementor-based websites at FourNodes Technologies.

We noticed that after enabling some hiding and rewrite features, the Elementor editor stops loading properly and some frontend functionality also becomes unstable. It appears that Elementor heavily relies on REST API, AJAX requests, dynamic CSS/JS assets, and WordPress core functionality, which may conflict with aggressive hiding or rewriting configurations.

We understand that the plugin is designed to hide WordPress footprints, plugin paths, theme paths, and other core structures for better security. However, modern Elementor websites require many of these WordPress functionalities to remain accessible.

Could you please guide us regarding:

    • Recommended safe settings for Elementor websites
    • Which rewrite/hiding options should be avoided
    • Any available Elementor compatibility mode
    • Future plans for improving Elementor compatibility

We appreciate your support and look forward to your guidance.

    Best Regards,
    FourNodes Technologies

    Hi,
If I understand correctly, you’re using the free WP Hide plugin, which has limited features for Elementor compatibility. It appears that the JSON REST API was blocked or disabled via **WP Hide > Rewrites**, which may have disabled some site functionality.

Could you please double-check this setting and re-enable the service if it’s disabled? You can still clean up the response output so it doesn’t expose the supported server methods.

    Thanks
