Hi, I am trying to use Elementor in my WP environment – http://www.heris.hr/wp/ – Theme: Appointment(https://webriti.com/appointment/)
When I open my Test page and start Elementor it tries to load but with no success.
It seems that the cause of the problem is not the other plugins or the choice of the theme, but the insufficient adaptivity of the Elementor version 1.5.3. (maybe the PRO version does not have this problem). I have deactivated other plugins, returned to the default WordPress theme but Elementor is still not working.
I would greatly appreciate your help and advice.

  • This is the clue “jQuery is not a function”.

This means the jQuery dependency is not present at the time of Elementor loading it’s libraries which depend on jQuery to work (which is provided by WP not Elementor)

jQuery ships with WP core and is often broken when…

    – themes break it with bad code or incomplete upload/permissions
    – plugins break it with bad code or incomplete upload/permissions
    – WP core is broken, i.e. incomplete upload/permissions
    – When host provider blocks scripts such as mod_security

Also, this PHP setting is very limiting:
    Memory limit: 64M

I don’t run any sites where this is less that 256M

Dear Sirs, thank you for participating in this brief discussion and in your suggestions. Fortunately, the problem is solved. With more careful testing of plugins, I found that SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle (ver. 1.9.3) is the cause of the problem. After its deactivation, the Elementor works normally.
What a pity for SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle since it contains useful plugins. If anyone first finds that compatibility and co-operation between Elementor and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle have been achieved in the upcoming updates, please let us know. All the best

    Hi zsimunovic,

That’s odd. The SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle recently went undergo major compatibility changes to ensure it was compatible with Elementor. To confirm, does this issue occur if only Eliminator and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle are active? If so, what about if you temporarily change theme?

    (@zsimunovic)

    Hi alexgso,
Here I just temporarily changed the theme to Twenty Seventeen and the problem appears if I activate the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. When I turn it off, Elementor does work.
Also, I’ve deactivated all plugins and left only Elementor and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. In this combination, Elementor does not work.

    Hi zsimunovic,

Thanks for testing. Does this occur on a freshly created page?

    (@zsimunovic)

    Yes

    @zsimunovic

You are correct after disabling SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin, ELEmentor plugin started working normal. Thanks for your assistance.

Any thoughts how to fix that? what if im using the site origin bundle in my previous works , what will happen now?

    Thread Starter zsimunovic

    (@zsimunovic)

    epanuelos (@epanuelos)

    Very simple.
The combination of SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and Elementor doesn’t work.
If you want to use Elementor, you must deactivate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle.
If you want to use SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, you will not be able to use Elementor.
Until the Elementor or SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle update, when this combination will work.

    Hi zsimunovic,

It should be noted, that this isn’t 100% correct. Only a few people are having this issue and it’s not a widespread problem at this point.

Regardless, can you please take a look at the issue you posted on GitHub? We would really like to fix this issue but we need you to try a few things as we cannot replicate this issue.

I can confirm what Alex says.
I have Elementor 1.5.5 and SiteOrigin widgets bundle 1.9.5 and no conflict what so ever.
Theme Generate Press and everything else up to date.

I noticed, that the ones having issues seem to have Elementor 1.5.3 and SitOrigin widgets 1.9.3. I wonder what happens if they updated to the most recent versions?

    Hi alexgso,
of course, I do not claim that my statement is correct in 100% of cases, I am speaking from my experience and from my environment.

    Related to GitHub:
I remember visiting GitHub, but I do not remember the issue I posted there.
I do not even remember that I opened the account there.
I visited GitHub but could not find my post.
    Please send it to me.
I do not understand your statement that you cannot replicate the issue.

    Hi Annie,
I updated SiteOrigin widgets bundle 1.9.5
After activation, Elementor 1.5.5 still doesn’t work.

    Hi,

Strange, I do not have that problem, but there must be some thing different in your install that trigger this, but what..

That is what Alex means when he says, I cannot replicate your issue. I can not replicate it eather, meaning in my Environment ( hosting, server settings, php version, other plugins combo, other theme maybe )I can not see the same issue as you and others have.

I googled your error and found this topic: https://github.com/pojome/elementor/issues/839

One thing…you have jetpack and also wp super cache.
When you switched themes, deactivated plugins etc, did you also always purched the cache ( also your browser etc )?

    Annie

Found this topic as well: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/text-editor-12/

    Hey Boaz,
I found the problem of my editor not loading & the text problem I mentioned earlier. Iuse Cloudfront. I found this article, changed my settings & BOOM-Problem solved.

You may want to put a CloudFront FAQ sheet for others.

Auto Minify should not break third-party scripts. If you are seeing third-party scripts breaking on your site (Google, widgets, plugins), then Rocket Loader is most likely the cause of any errors you’re seeing.

Both Auto Minify and Rocket Loader can be found under the ‘Speed’ section.
    ————————————————————————–
    The Rocket was the fizzler.

Are you on some cdn ( cloudflare, cloudfront ) or is minification on in wp super cache? Tried deactivating that?
