Elementor Page unaccessible
-
Hi,
So, I’ve been playing around with a website landing page. I recently started a job where I’m using WordPress, but I don’t have much experience with it (although I do have some programming experience). I’m logged into an account connected to the WordPress of a website owned by my employer. My employer’s WordPress is linked to Elementor, so everything I’ve been doing is through Elementor, v3.12.1.
I created the landing page by hitting the “+” button at the top of the WordPress dashboard and selected “Landing Page”. I didn’t use a template, I just started adding html elements to the page. Until today I’ve just been saving it as a draft. For some reason it hasn’t been showing up in WordPress under “Pages”. I’ve been accessing it by going to Dashboard, and it’s been listed under the “Recently Edited” part of the “Elementor Overview”.
Today, after working on the landing page in Elementor for a while I tried to save the draft but accidentally hit the “Publish” button. I exited Elementor and navigated to the Dashboard to try to resolve it, but now I can’t open the landing page at all. It doesn’t seem to have published to the actual website. I can still find the landing page listed under the “Recently Edited” section of the “Elementor Overview” on the Dashboard. However, when I click on the link I get a message saying “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page”. It seems like the error could be resolved if I was able to call ‘the_content’ in the landing page, but since I can’t open the link to the landing page, I have no clue how to do this.
Since I began there’s been a message at the top of the WordPress Dashboard saying “Wordpress 6.3.1 is available! Please notify the site administrator”, so I’m not sure if this could be the problem. I’m not the administrator, though, and can’t update it myself.
Does anyone have any clue how I should proceed from here, in order to gain access to the landing page I’ve been working on again?
Thanks in advance!
