After the plugin update, the critical error message came up and I used the backup to restore the website to test updating the plugin one by one til I reached the Elementor plugin which was the main cause. Looks like I was able to update the rest of the plugins without issues except for this one which kept crashing the site. What’s frustrating is that I never received a site-admin email for instructions. Had to enable the debugging and the issue was found under wp-content/mu-plugins/antidote.php. Still trying to understand what went wrong. For now, I restored the website back to normal and will keep the Elementor plugin outdated til I find a solution to this.

    Current version: 3.25.11
    Version needed to update: 3.27.5

    Hi @ricav

Unfortunately, this new update still caused the website to crash. I’ve been trying to update to the latest update for months but it always led to a critical error on that website.
    Current version: 3.25.11
New version to update: 3.29.2 – All new versions (after 3.25.11 ver.) still lead to the website crash.

I’m not sure why this post was marked as ‘Resolved’ so I changed the status back to ‘Not Resolved’ until someone reviews the issue and addresses it properly.

To help resolve the issue you’re experiencing, I recommend fully deactivating and deleting all existing versions of the Elementor plugins, then reinstalling both Elementor and Elementor Pro from scratch.

Large version gaps between installed and updated plugin versions can occasionally cause unexpected behavior or crashes during the update process. A clean reinstallation ensures all files are fresh and eliminates potential conflicts.

Please also note that the latest version of Elementor is 3.30.2, so make sure you’re installing the most up-to-date release.

This issue persists on my site. Was anyone able to remove the automatic updates to stop Elementor from auto updating and crashing the site?

I am in the same boat as @lrsnorman. We went through and updated everything on the site except for this, backing up each time. As soon as we update Elementor the whole site bombs! We cannot even get into WPAdmin at that time. The only recourse is to Restore from the backend. The app has been uninstalled and reloaded more than once with the same results. GT3 Ultimate Charts for Elementor Page Builder & Elementor updates kill the whole shabang.

Have you fixed this issue? It’s marked as resolved but there’s no solution on this thread.
