elementor renders shortcode, not full

elementor renders shortcode, not full table.
The plugin renders fine. But not on the actual page.

not sure why this is happening. The other table plugins I tried all worked in elementor live preview button.

as a followup, I managed to find a fix. So it turns out the WPdatatable plugin’s Elementor widget doesn’t properly parse the table. So this is a confirmed bug.
I ended up using elementor
shortcodewidget to test this and see if I could get the table to render. And sure enough I was able to do it.And here is a video where you can see the WPdatatables Elementor Widget vs Elementor Shortcode Widget. Elementor shortcode widget does render the table ok.

So I’m not sure why WPdatatables widget renders the literal shortcode text vs parsing the actual table. The only table plugin that has this bug with elementor.
Hello.
Thank you for reporting this behaviour.
Our developers are aware of it, unfortunately, at this time, they are not able to fix it,
but a task has been added, they will do their best to fix this in the future.
We can’t say an ETA on it, but
you can follow our changeLog if you’d like(https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wpdatatables/#developers), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates, and our newsletter(https://wpdatatables.com/newsletter/), so you’re informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
For the time being, the workaround is, as you pointed out, to use the manual table shortcode through the Elementor Shortcode Widget, in that case it does render the content live during editing.
Thanks again. Our developers are aware of it, unfortunately, at this time, they are not able to fix it, but a task has been added, they will do their best to fix this in the future.
That is a relatively simple fix, isn’t it? The fact that you’ve know about this (for some time??) and are instead just ignoring it would imply
It was so weird…because I thought for a second that the plugin was broken. It drove me crazy for 2 days wondering if all that table work would have to be copied to a new plugin.
We apologize for the inconvenience and the waiting time for the fix,
but unfortunately it is not as simple as it might seem.
Our developers are doing their best to fix this as soon as possible.
We are not able to promise an exact ETA on it,
but it should be fixed soon, in one of the future updates.
Let us know if you have any additional questions.
Kind regards.Hello again.
We just wanted to follow up on this, for clarification because in your first message, you have shown a screenshot and described that the Elementor wpDataTables widget was not rendering on your published front-end page or Preview of the front-end Page; ( that is how we initially understood, but then you sent the Video showing how you tried to render it ‘on the fly’ during the Page Editing in WP back-end in Elementor wpDataTables Widget);
For the front-end, we are not able to reproduce any issue, nor do we have other users who have any issues with the Preview or Published Page/Post.
So, if you have any issue of rendering a table on a Preview/ or Published Page on the WP front end, let us know and we can help you investigate it.
The limitation that we currently have is only at the back-end of WordPress, during the Page Editing of Elementor,
there it is not currently possible to render the Table through an Elementor wpDataTable Widget since that would require the full HTML of the table to be rendered.
We will do our best to make that possible in the future,
but we can’t say an ETA on it, as mentioned.Kind regards.
