Elementor section and column images not loading

All images look and function perfectly in elementor until viewing the site live where many or all background images set in sections or columns do not appear.

I have deactivated all plugins aside from OceanWP extra for OceanWP theme page setting features. I have regenerated css files. deleted image files and uploaded then back into media.

After weeks of painfully trying to find a solution to this problem, the issue persists… has anyone else dealt with this before?
