A month ago I have created a Single Event template with Elementor Pro and linked it via the Elementor Conditions. All is (was) working fine.

I need to change the design a bit based on client feedback. As long as I am inside the Elementor Editor I can change design, save changes and changes will be visible.

As soon as I exit the Elementor Editor, my Single Event Template is being deleted?!, and this has appeared :

The Events Calendar – Starter / Type: Single Event Template / Instances: None

I can’t even access my template via the direct url https://onderwijskwaliteit.puregraphx.be/wp-admin/post.php?post=1330&action=elementor so it is in fact, completely gone!

I can repeat this behaviour over and over again.

    Hi @puregraphx ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I suspect there’s a conflict that’s causing the issue here. It would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?

    1. Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
    2. Switching to the Default theme.

Please read the Testing for Conflicts Article before doing anything.

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

I have already tried in a minimal setup.

First, can you explain why The Events Calendar – Starter and The Events Calendar – Dynamic template are being created over and over again, no matter how many times I put them in the trash? I do not need/want them as I have my own Elementor Pro templates for the Single Event.

    Hi @puregraphx ,

    Thank you for your message.

The Events Calendar – Dynamic template is used for dynamically assigning Elementor templates to multiple events (see Event Single Template with Elementor Theme Builder) with Elementor Pro. The Events Calendar – Starter, on the other hand, is used when editing events in Elementor (from the event screen) — see Elementor Single Event Template.

At this time, I’m afraid using a different Elementor template for events is discouraged, as we have a bug report around it, which our product team is actively looking into.

So it’s best to edit The Events Calendar – Dynamic template instead of creating a new template from scratch?

What is the bug exactly, I wonder if the symptoms are the same as my issue.

    Hi @puregraphx ,

    Thank you for your message.

You are correct. It is best to edit The Events Calendar – Dynamic template instead of creating or using another template for single events, at this time.

The bug report may not be directly related to your situation, as it has something to do with the missing templates in Events -> Settings -> Display -> Calendar -> Event template dropdown, and it looks like this has been fixed in the latest release of The Events Calendar.
