Elements in post not editable in single.php

Hey – I’m trying strip down and reformat my posts to an insane degree but i find that I can only do so much in single.php

It appears that the post title and the date still appear based on post formatting that doesn’t appear in single.php – what do I need to edit to make sure absolutely nothing comes between the first word in the post and the upper left corner?

PS. I’ve already stripped out header.php
