I am having a similar problem but this is specific to Chrome. On Firefox, Edge, etc, the menu works fine. But on Chrome the menu appears but any dropdown is hidden behind any elements on the page. This is a big problem if there is a Hero image as the dropdown ‘hides’ behind it.

This problem usually occurs for the z-index value priority. Please follow this screenshot – (http://prntscr.com/tuux7c). After changing the z-index value your problem should be solved.
