The easiest way is to download the ZIP-File under “Code” – “Download ZIP” and store the Zipfile on your PC. Then go to your WordPress admin interface – Plugins – New Plugin – Upload Plugin. Upload the ZIP-File. Deactivate the WordPress version of “Extensions for Leaflet Map” and activate the Github version. You can have both versions installed, but only one activated. The settings are the same. The Github version may be not stable.
Well, tested and… approved !
It seems to work fine on my website. Very useful with fullscreen map on mobile (you can see map AND elevation).

A last question : Do you preview to add geolocation control later ?
I use locate.control on another html website (https://github.com/domoritz/leaflet-locatecontrol). Very useful for user (hicker, mountain bikers, etc.)

No. Other applications are better for this. e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OsmAnd
It’s a shame.
Users don’t need a so complete tool than OsmAnd (but I gonna try it).
Sometimes, you just need to know where you are on map (without any navigation tools).

Deepl translates this with “Es ist eine Schande.” This sounds negative in german. You mean “This is pity.” – “Es ist schade.”, or? 😉
I’m using OsmAnd (the version from FDroid). A big advantage is that you don’t necessarily have to be online. And you can see, where you are.
