EM_Event in header.php

Hi all,

Is it possible to use global $EM_Event in theme’s header.php ? Because the page become blank.

I want to include the event date in my meta tag property for Facebook og:description

The global $EM_Event alone is not a problem, but if I insert after global

$event_dates = $EM_Event->output('#_EVENTDATES');

that become a problem.
