Thanks for reaching out! Please share a full error log recorded when you send a test email from WP Mail SMTP > Email Test? Here’s a screenshot for the option to get a full error log. This will give us an idea of what might be going on.
You might also want to read the troubleshooting guide the error message is pointing to.

I get:
504 Gateway Time-out
The server didn’t respond in time.
when I click send.
This appears to be an issue with WordPress 5.5, they have changed their mailing class, which at the time is not compatible with this plugin. Roll back to WordPress 5.4 and wait for the developer to release a patch.

yes, WordPress has updated the PHPmailer class to version 6 and our plugin is using this new class if you are using WP version 5.5, so this class update should not be an issue.
– Which version of our plugin are you all using?
– Which version of WordPress are you all using?
Could you please all try to send a test email in WP Mail SMTP -> Settings -> Email Test. When it fails click on the “Click here to view the full Error Log for debugging”: https://a.supportally.com/bLK2IP and copy/paste the debug log here, so we can see what is causing the issue.
@yuvarajpragmatic the screenshot you posted does not look like the debug log from our plugin… Where is this screenshot taken from?
