I’m using a form to allow prospective clients to contact me via email (without publishing my email address) Lately I’ve been receiving a lot of submissions that seem to be trying to hack the plugin. They look something like this:

    Name BaQkesKpWjTZ
    Email [email protected]
    Subject kNIRMAaHcdCX
    Message UmfjwiYCcdGFHeN

There are always 2 submissions from the same email address in a row, then they change to a different email address and do it again. I’m not sure what I should be doing to block these attacks… Note that I have iThemes Security installed as well.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    UPDATE:
When I check the EverestForms backend, the entries are readable. They are general spam messages that include links. I believe that hackers are using my form as a way to send out spam. Is there something I should be doing to prevent this, or is this a problem with the Everest Forms plugin??

    Hi @scowlingfrog,

First of all, you can be fully assured that there is no problem with the plugin so don’t worry about the plugin.
Secondly, there may be chances that bots may be filling the form. But to tackle them, you can use the Google Re-Captcha feature of the plugin. To know more about the integration and usage, you can follow this documentation https://docs.wpeverest.com/docs/everest-forms/tutorials/how-to-integrate-google-recaptcha/
I hope this will stop the spam submission.

    Regards!
