Hi @jkofroth,
Thank you for reaching out!
Yes, you can configure an SMTP plugin on your site to send form emails and make sure that emails are sent as authenticated.
We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.
And in case it helps, you can check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.
I hope this helps 🙂
Must I get WP smtp to use WPForm and allow a simple contact form to send me the messages. Would I need to WPForm Pro to make it work.
Hi @jkofroth,
You should be able to receive emails using WPForms Lite. If this is not working for you, the issue is likely because the emails sent from your site are not authenticated (unlike emails sent from dedicated email service providers). As a result, they are likely to be filtered by the receiving mail server.
To address this issue, you can use an SMTP plugin, like WP Mail SMTP (which has a free version), or any other SMTP plugin, like Easy WP SMTP.
After this, you need to set a mailer, and there are some services with free plans, like Brevo and Google. In case it helps, here’s a WP Mail SMTP guide about mailers.
Hope this helps!
Hi @jkofroth,
We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
Thanks!
