This may sound wierd. Best part of WordPress is it can integrate anything. Is there a possbility to integrate mail with wordpress. Something like configuring Roundcube works for any mail.

No – WordPress is not an email client.

WordPress is not a email client, I’m aware of it.

There are few plugins which integrate twitter to wordpress by almost becoming a twitter client. So a mail plugin was just a wild probability (as roundcube is very much customizable and can just provide an interface). Guess that was always a wild thought.

WordPress is able to integrate with Twitter (and Facebook and Tumblr) becuase they use standard APIs.

Email is higgeldy piggeldy setup, and it’s different on different servers 🙂 If Roundcube has an API, then sure, you can do it. but it’ll be a very server specific setup.
