    Hi,

I just enabled the 2FA by email and I realized one thing. After I have entered my login details, ticked google recaptcha and I’m human checked box, I will received the 2FA code by email in the email and also the logged in notification email.

    I find it strange though.

Shouldn’t the logged in notification email to sent only after I have authenticated the login?

Yes, this is a good point actually… we hadn’t considered this. I’ll have a think on the best way to approach this.

    Cheers!

The next release will see a change to this email content, indicating that 2FA remains to be completed. The is still correct in sending as a user has successfully authenticated with WordPress, but they still have yet to confirm their 2FA. It could be argued that they haven’t actually completed login, but in-fact, I think it best to know when a user has successfully completed WordPress authentication, even though they may not have completed the Shield 2FA.

    Thanks for highlighting this.
