Email notification pulling through post/not excerpt

Hi

When I email out a post notification the email received shows the whole post instead of just the excerpt…

I have checked the plugin settings and excerpt is specified and the test email notification works by pulling through the expert… but when i do this on a real post it still pullsthough the full post…

Any ideas?
