• Hello,

    we are evaluating the plugin. It seems generally ok but email notifications to users on projects/tasks don’t seem to work. Is it normal? Other plugins that send email in our wp installation work fine…

    Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the trouble you’re experiencing.

    To determine if the emails are being sent but maybe going to spam or experiencing another error, could I kindly ask you to install an email log plugin like https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/email-log/ and confirm if the email shows here?

    Hello Dylan,

    thank you very much for being so quick and for your suggestion.
    I installed the email log and it helped figuring out the issue: notification mail are sent only to the address I manually insert in the project settings, but not to the main referrer of the project nor any person added to it. I don’t know if that’s the way it was intended.
    I think that all the persons / team linked to the project should be notified (for example if I assign a project to a person this one should be informed etc).

    Hi,

    Thanks for the response and for confirming.

    That helps to narrow it down. The way it is designed it should definitely send to the assigned users and teams.

    So for example, when you create a new task and assign users to it, does it currently not send any emails to the assignees?

    Is it possible that the user might have disabled the email notifications from Zephyr > Settings (under the profile settings section)?

    Hello again.

    I double checked and the test account I’m using has everything checked in order to receve emails.
    I did some tests:

    • I create a new project selecting e referrer → no mail to this person
    • I add / edit the referrer in an existing project → no mail to this person
    • I edit details of the project or close tasks etc → no mail to the referrers, yes mail to the mail manually added in the settings
    • I create a new task via the task tab, selecting a referrer → yes mail to the person
    • I create a new task inside a project, selecting a referrer → no mail to the person

      (i made this test like 15 minutes ago but now I notice some changes: are you already changing something?)

    I haven’t made any updates yet. At the moment I’m working to try replicate this issue but can’t seem to yet.

    I’ll let you know as soon as I’ve figured out what might be causing this.

    I don’t know if it can help.

    I noticed that If I assign a person to an existing project (or if I create a project starting with a referrer) the system doesn’t send an email if this is the first person assigned to the project. Every second+ person assigned, receive the email.

    I believe I might have found the cause of the issue.

    I’ve sent the update to your email and just wanted to ask if you could please install that to confirm if it resolves the issue, and if it does, then I’ll release this update live as well.
