email order alert
-
Hello, before installing this plugin, I used to receive an email alert every-time I had an order on the website as well as the customer used to also receive a confirmation email. But since I installed Booster plus for woocommerce, I (or the customer) do not receive those emails anymore. I try to search which setting I had to modify but I am a bit lost. Could you please help?
Thank you very much.
Regards.

Hi,
Can you check if the “New order” email notification is still turned on in Woocommerce > Emails?

Hello,
Yes the “new order” email notification is activated on woocommerce emails. What do you suggest to do as the notification is activated? Do you see anything which can fix this issue? Thank you very much.
I am a bit lost, I must confess…Hi again,
Do emails work when the plugin is deactivated?

Actually, I did not try because as I have all status set on my orders with Booster, I am afraid to deactivate it and loss all my settings. Do you thing I can do that without any risk of loss?
Hi,
Simply deactivating plugin (not deleting!) will not remove any settings.

Hi,

Hello,
We still have that issue with your plugin (custom order status)
It appears that custom order status is causing it.
In woocommerce we have the settings set to receive an email when there is a new order coming in.
This works very fine when ” custom order status” is disabled (we-both company and customer-receive the email notification)
But when “custom order status” is enabled neither the company or the customer get any email notification.
Is it a custom email settings issues? I mean is there some kind of special settings you have to apply to “custom emails” to make it work OK along with “custom statuses”? I am just thinking out loud here. I am really trying to find a solution because it is very annoying.
Is there anybody else having the same issue than us?Frothing to receive and read your solution.
Thank you very much.
NUTS. Tom has much more replies. This will take some time.
@algoritmika I’ll start with the easy one.
Thanks for the great support but please lose the signature. That’s prohibited in these forums as it’s been horribly abused in the past by others.
Yes, bad people ruin it for others. Please refrain from that.

Also? Never ask for login access. As I’ve been pinging @rokasjan
I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.
If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.
Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.- Ask for a link to the http://pastebin.com/ log of the user’s web server error log.
- Ask the user to create and post a link to their
phpinfo();output. - Ask the user to install the Health Check plugin and get the data that way.
- Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
- Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again.
- Ask the user for the step-by-step on how they can reproduce the problem.
You get the idea.
Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
Hi @jdembowski,
Thanks for the input. Sorry my mistake, just wanted to make my life easier by logging to some problematic sites, but all understood – no more asking for logins and no signature.
