@bizanimesh Thanks for the reply. You can view the image here: http://tinyurl.com/d8sb9d2u.
The extra link first appeared yesterday, 5/13 in our emails. It is still appearing today. We have several blogs from which we send subscriber emails, but the extra link is not appearing in the emails from the other blogs.
We are using Jetpack version 9.4.
Thanks for the help.
Hi @delindaf,
Thanks so much for the screenshot. I tested this on my test site with Jetpack Subscriptions and the most recent version of Jetpack, and I’m not able to reproduce it. This indicates that it is likely another plugin on your site that is conflicting with Jetpack.
I know it is less than ideal, but I’d like for you to temporarily disable all of your plugins (leaving Jetpack active), and if extra text in the subscription email goes away, then we can assume that there is a plugin conflict.
To narrow down which plugin is causing the trouble, enable each plugin one by one, and try to reproduce the error after each one that you activate. If you experience the problem after activating a particular plugin, you’ve likely found the culprit. I encourage you to find a replacement for that plugin, or reach out to that plugin’s support team, and hopefully that will solve things for you.
Let us know what you find!
@jenhooks Thanks for the information. How can I disable all of our plugins without affecting the content that is already published? We use plugins to put media in our posts.
Also, is there a way to test the email template without emailing our subscribers?
Thanks for the help.
Hi @delindaf,
How can I disable all of our plugins without affecting the content that is already published? We use plugins to put media in our posts.
You can actually use the Health Check plugin to do some troubleshooting here. Health Check is a tool that can be useful for debugging, though it does require an official default theme like Twenty Seventeen to be installed as well:
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/twentyseventeen/
Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin, you can go to *Dashboard* → *Health Check* to see various details about your site and server. Select the *Troubleshooting* tab and then click **Enable Troubleshooting** to automatically disable all plugins and add a new *Troubleshooting Menu* item in the toolbar at the top of the wp-admin dashboard.
From here, you can enable and disable plugins and change the theme for you, but without affecting normal visitors to your site.
Could you try to use the Health Check plugin to only enable Jetpack and then run that test again? If those errors clear, then we’ll know that a conflict with another plugin is causing this.
You can then enable each plugin one at a time and try to replicate the error after each attempt.
If you can’t find a plugin, it may be the theme. Would you please try to switch the theme to one of the defaults to see if that helps?
As for this question:
Also, is there a way to test the email template without emailing our subscribers?
I am afraid that won’t be possible 🙁
This has been resolved by Jetpack according to this GitHub thread. https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/15447
This thread can be closed.
Thank you, Delinda
Fantastic, Delinda! Happy to hear everything’s working normally for you now. 🙂
Have a safe rest of the week.
