• It appears that there may be a conflict with my user registration plugin and Participants Database, using the email function.
I use User Meta Pro to keep track of my site users and it generates an automatic email on registration and updates, etc.
I noticed in the FAQ that you suggested using an email plugin if the site was not generating emails or to disable the plug in that my be hijacking the emails.
My question is can I use a second email plug in, like the one you suggested? without causing problems. Can they co exist?

If it is clear that on their own, each plugin can send email, but together one or both can’t, then they probably can’t coexist. WordPress’ main email function can be overridden by plugins, and if this isn’t done right, other plugins can’t use it.

I would try installing an SMTP plugin, which may override the main mail function for both plugins, so they can both send mail. If this doesn’t work, then some debugging will be needed to see exactly what the problem is.
