Do you have HTML email format enabled on the plugin settings page (Dashboard > Settings > Email Users)? That is the only thing within Email Users which would remove the HTML formatting.
Thanks for quick reply. I have that setting on. If I copy all the content to the excerpt function and change the email to display the excerpt but not the content then it renders the email as as html. That is a work around but messy.
There may be another plugin that messes it up. Do have any hooks or filter I can add that would correct this. I had one before but with an update it has undone it and I am not sure what to do to fix this.
We do all our notices to members of our community organisation as posts which we then email to them. When people lose track of an email they can check the members area of the website rather than ring the office or emailing committee members for information already given out. This plugin works well l for this purpose

just to let you know I fixed the problem by going to TnyMCE Advanced plugin settings and clicking off the setting “Stop removing the <p> and
tags when saving and show them in the Text editor” in advance options down the page.
