embed social media posts?

    Generally, I just copy and paste posts’ codes to make embed version but Apple News does not support this way. Is there any guide to learn how to do that for Apple News?

    Generally, when we want to use Facebook or Instagram post, we just copy and paste the links like https://www.instagram.com/p/BORoxx0AeWa/ and WordPress shows as a native look. But Apple News shows an error code. It says: “The following components are unsupported by Apple News and prevented publishing: post.” How can I use social media embed feature?

    Currently YouTube and Vimeo oEmbeds are supported by the plugin. Facebook support will be added in version 1.2.3. There isn’t a firm plan to add Instagram support to the plugin, but I’ve logged an issue for you here to consider it for a future version.

    The plugin is open source so if you’d like to see Instagram support sooner, contributions are welcome.

    Version 1.2.3 is now available and contains support for Facebook components. Instagram support is now in the backlog, but is not attached to a particular release version.

    Thanks for the feedback. I’m going to close this issue here in favor of tracking the feature request in the GitHub repo.
