    Hello,
I recently updated to PHP 7.0 following which the embed videos/posts stopped working. It happens only for desktop version, the mobile AMP theme works fine. In any post, some embeds work and other don’t. For instance, in this post,

    https://rajksite.com/roma-a-cinematic-marvel-by-alfonso-cuaron/

the first Youtube video and a Twitter embed works fine but for the last Youtube video, I just see the URL, no embed. I first thought it was a theme problem but it is happening for all themes, including Twenty Ninenteen.

    Thanks
    Rajendra

  • I see the url in your page as:
    https://youtu.be/6BS27ngZtxg

…which is Google’s way of doing a URL shortener (which is crazy). Problem is, it redirects to a different url, so this might be the issue (buggy). I’ve seen this not work 100% in WordPress.

    But try this one instead:
    https://www.youtube.com/embed/6BS27ngZtxg

    Thanks Andre.

I tried the proper URL and that also does not seem to work. However, if I put the iframe code for the video, it works fine. Is there any way I can replace all Youtube URLs with iframe codes in one go?

    Best Regards,
    Rajendra

    Hi Rajendra,

Sorry for the late response, as I am just starting my day here.

Replacing all youtube URLs with the iframe code, I’m not quite sure unless there is a plugin for that. I know there are a lot of plugins for youtube and other video services, so there might be one, or one to start using for new videos you add.

    Best Regards,
    Andre

    Hi Andre,

No problem. I will look for a suitable plugin to embed iframes.
Thank you very much for your help.
    Best Regards,
    Rajendra
