• OK, I’m hoping this is more of a general question. I’m currently managing a WP website in which someone created a custom theme for. In this theme, the pages are set up in a way that each page has a unique embedded (youtube) video. BUT that embedded video information is not anywhere in the Page details (when editing the Page content) – So, I’m under the impression that there is some kind of preset coding for the pages, where the video embedded information is stored. I’m trying to locate that so that I can edit the links to the videos….can anyone please provide some ideas of WHERE this data may be? (perhaps, somewhere specifically in the ‘Editor’ coding?)…..

    PLEASE HELP! =)

  • As this is obviously a very custom theme, there’s nothing much we can suggest to help. You’re just going to have to look through all of the theme’s files.

i feel like I have dug through them 10x over…but i guess i will continue looking. Just to be sure I’m searching correctly…this is under Appearance>>Editor – yes?

Also…are there maybe typical locations something like this feature would be stored (i.e. page_themes or something like that)?

    thanks for your quick response!

Personally, I’d download the theme’s folder to my own computer and start searching through it there using my preferred plain text editor.

    GREAT SUGGESTION!!
and I’ll apologize up front, because I’m about to ask probably a dumb question (but, sadly, need to be talked to like a 10 year old on this stuff)….*I’m not seeing an option to D/L the theme’s folder…where would I be able to do that?

You would need to use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
