Embedded views not being counted

    Hi, when embedding the youtube in wordpress, the views are not being counted in Youtube.In GA, It shows around 50,000 views, but in Youtube it’s only 5000 views.

    1. I have waited for a few days.
    2. No, they are not on auto play.
    3. The views in GA are legit, as each user session is at least 5min for the page w/ the 4+ min video.

    What do you think could be causing this?

    This doesn’t sound like an issue with the plugin as it doesn’t do anything unique with view counting. The plugin embeds the standard YouTube player so the view counting behavior is exactly as YouTube has designed it.

    If you genuinely feel like you found a bug within Google or YouTube, you should probably post your issue on their help forums with specific video examples and detailed screenshots of your GA data. You could start here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/analytics
