The worpress version is the latest version and the theme twentysixteen is the latest version.
i disabled the embedpress plugins and now the youtube videos appear so it appears to be an issue with the embedpress plugins.

To better understand what might be happening on your site, could you please share a quick screencast showing how you’re embedding the YouTube video and what exactly happens after publishing?
Also, just to clarify—if you had embedded the YouTube videos using the EmbedPress plugin, they typically wouldn’t appear once the plugin is deactivated. So, if the videos are showing after deactivating EmbedPress, it may indicate they were embedded using a different method. Could you kindly confirm how the videos were originally embedded?

I just get the http link from youtube when you select share and then copy and paste the link on the visual tab in the classic editor, been doing it for years with no issue. I don’t use the code tab. Yesterday after the plugin update, no youtube videos I had posted like that appeared. Once I disabled the plugins, then the videos reappeared on the site. The plugins are disabled so the videos appear. When the plugins were enabled there was no video appearing. It was like it was no longer there even though the link was still in the post.

I updated the plugin to version 4.2.5, activated the plugin and the youtube videos appear just fine now, like they did before the version 4.2.4 of the plugin. The new version of the plugin has also fixed the X (twitter) links posted in the classic editor as they were no longer working either. Thanks so much.
