I manage two different websites on WordPress. One is eamessolar.com, the other is makemypoolsafe.com.

Eamessolar.com was down with a critical error message. I determined through troubleshooting that the cause was the Jetpack plugin. I’m the process of troubleshooting, I had restored a backup of eamessolar.com from January.

After this backup restoration, I noticed that the site was working correctly, but was missing 4 blog posts that were posted after that January backup. So, I went back to the UpDraftPlus backups and restored a backup from March.

At this time, the other website I manage (makemypoolsafe.com) was restored as eamessolar.com.

Now, I can’t even access the back end of eamessolar.com, it redirects me to the login page for makemypoolsafe.com).

Any insight or help on fixing this is greatly appreciated.

If both sites share the same remote storage location directory then clicking this button will result in all backups being added to the database of that site, regardless of which site they are from.

    To fix this:

    1. Check that the wp-config.php file in the root of the site has the correct database credentials for eamessolar.com by cross checking on your hosting panel
    2. Change home and siteurl values in the wp-options table to the correct domain using phpMyAdmin
    3. Check the .htaccess file in the root of the site for any instances of makemypoolsafe.com and remove them
    4. Log in to eamessolar.com and restore the correct backup
    5. Remove any backups incorrectly added from makemypoolsafe.com to ensure the same issue doesn’t re-occur. If you double click the datetime next to a particular backup the filename should tell you which backup is which
