    Hi there,

I downloaded the Share WPSSO plugin and decided it didn’t work for my website. But when I deleted it, it left an empty <iframe> on my home page that is messing up my layout. If you go to http://www.hairbymegan.net –> scroll down and look at the social icons, below is an empty white space that was placed there for the share buttons that should have been deleted.

Onward with more clues…when I go to the pages in the wordpress admin and deselect show sharing buttons and update, it reappears. I cannot get it to go away, which I find strange. http://screencast.com/t/B96D4bvP

I’d love some help on what happened and how it can be fixed.

    Thanks!
    Travis

WPSSO does not include any sharing buttons, unless you install the WPSSO SSB or WPSSO RRSSB extension. WPSSO creates meta tags in your webpage headers for social crawlers, so however your webpage is shared, it will have accurate information on the social sites (title, description, image, video, author, etc.).

That option box doesn’t look like a WPSSO settings page. Are you sure you’re posting to the correct support forum?

Hmmm.. Maybe it was not WPSSO but the SSB for the sharing buttons. It added the share buttons to the bottom of the home page (as well as others). But when I uninstalled, I now have this blank space on the bottom of my webpage and can’t figure it out.

I guess I can look somewhere else..

    Thanks.

Could you please verify the name of that plugin? As I explained, the screenshot you included does not look like any WPSSO related plugin.

    Hi JS,

Sorry for not explaining well. It was the older version of this that I installed as I didn’t see there was a newer one.

If this doesn’t look familiar than I’ll try and look into the details of this and see if I can figure out what plugin did this. Thank you for your help.

As I said, this does not look like any WPSSO related option – now or in any past version.
