    Hi there πŸ™‚ !

I’ve created an “Empty Cart” template and activated it in WooLentor settings. It looks great, with “Recently Viewed Items” and “Recommended Items” widgets included.

But if you add any product to cart and remove it, then the “Empty Cart” layout shows totally broken.

This seems to be happening because the template is embedded in the “Cart” page as part of a form response or something similar. If the plugin would did a redirect to the “Empty Cart” page instead, this probably wouldn’t happen, because if you reload the page, it looks great again.

Does anyone face the same problem? Is there any solution for this?

    Kind regards.

  • Hi @albridi, good morning! πŸ™‚

It’s awesome to hear that the previous issue with the “Empty Cart Template” got resolved. That’s exactly what we suspected. Kudos to you for finding the root cause.

About the new issue you have detected:

We have checked the live URL you have provided.

It seems that you have kept your Shop and home page exactly the same. That’s why the filtering option is not working as it should.

Filters will work only on the Shop or archive pages. Our recommendation is that you use a different template for the home page.

Hopefully, this will resolve the issue. Please keep us updated in this regard.

    Sincerely,
    Tarek Aziz

    Hi @tarekht good morning,

Thanks for finding the issue πŸ™‚ .

This surprises me a lot and is a big problem for my designed sites, because I developed them with the intention of making the store page the main page of the site. In fact, I don’t see any advantage to having a “welcome landing page” for the store.

Since the first day I bought WooLentor, the price filter has been working flawlessly, so I’m wondering: Is this new behavior due to an update you made to the plugin? It’s an Elementor, WooCommerce or WordPress updates issue related?

    Kind regards.

    Hi @albridi

    Good afternoon from here πŸ™‚

Thanks a lot for your response. I have read your message thoroughly.

Since the price filtering option used to work earlier even if you use the store/shop page as the home page, I suspect there might be another reason behind this issue. I can assure you that it didn’t happen due to any update of our plugin.

Would you please create a ticket on our support website?

    https://woolentor.com/contact/

This way, our support team can comprehensively investigate the issue to figure out why this is happening.

    Kind regards,
    Tarek Aziz

    Hi @tarekht πŸ™‚

If this isn’t a problem related to a ShopLentor update, I suspect it must be related to some of the changes introduced by Elementor or WooCommerce, or perhaps by WordPress. But either way, it should be related to how your plugin interacts with these plugins.

I have done another test. On some sites I’m using the WOOF filter as my price filter because it does the filtering as soon as you move it (using AJAX I guess).

Both filters, Woof’s and yours, have been working fine so far with the “WL: Product Grid” widget, but suddenly neither of them work on the home page.

I will try to contact tech support as you suggest. See if they can guess what’s going wrong.

    Kind regards.
