That would mean that for some reason calls are happening that are getting a blank response back from PayPal. So it’s failing, which triggers the email, but there isn’t any error detail to provide in that email since no response came back.
Are you getting any successful orders at all or is everything failing?

Yes i am getting successful orders through here and there.
I get these emails every day, a few at a time for the past 3 months.
But today i am getting alot, sometimes the order is a blank “Guest” which is the MSN bot’s ip. Other times, its an actual person with a name/email which is stuck in “pending” and the order never finishes.
Just today i got a whole bunch of them
Sometimes they are from “[email protected]” other times they are from “[email protected]” <– my set email
The above error and this one alternates:
SetExpressCheckout API call failed.

Yeah, I was going to mention that it could be crawlers hitting that script and triggering those which would result in empty messages. That shouldn’t be happening too much, though.
Do you have logging enabled in the plugin? Can you check the log file to see if it’s showing any errors or empty results around the same times you’re getting these emails?

I have Enable logging /wc-logs/paypal_express.log ticked, but there is no file in that folder.
I just disabled and re-enabled it.

Just got 2 new error messages, check error log, the file still doesn’t exist.
I have /wc-logs @ 777 permissions so not sure why nothing is there

Got this one now:
DoExpressCheckoutPayment API call failed.
Error Code: 10419
Error Severity Code: Error
Short Error Message: Express Checkout PayerID is missing.
Detailed Error Message: Express Checkout PayerID is missing.
No log file still
WooCommerce moved the logs to /wp-content/uploads/wc-logs/. Check there and see if you find it.
Do you have any caching or CDN services set up in WP or on the server directly? It sounds like you could have a conflict going on with that sort of thing.
Please look into that sort of thing and let me know, and also that other location for the log files.
I have not heard back from you on this, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. Let me know if you’re still having trouble, though.
