    After generating the Google Mail key, I couldn’t select any email in the setup assistant, and the field was empty. Since then, I always get the following error:

    Versions: WordPress: 6.3.1 WordPress MS: No PHP: 8.1.23 WP Mail SMTP: 3.9.0

    Params: Mailer: gmail Constants: No Client ID/Secret: Yes Auth Code: Yes Access Token: Yes

    Server: OpenSSL: OpenSSL 1.1.1n 15 Mar 2022 PHP.allow_url_fopen: Yes PHP.stream_socket_client(): Yes PHP.fsockopen(): Yes PHP.curl_version(): 7.74.0

    Debug: E-Mail Source WP Mail SMTP Mailer: Google / Gmail { “error”: { “code”: 400, “message”: “Precondition check failed.”, “errors”: [ { “message”: “Precondition check failed.”, “domain”: “global”, “reason”: “failedPrecondition” } ], “status”: “FAILED_PRECONDITION” } }

    However, I can’t select anything in that field. The field is labeled as:

        “Please first authorize the email provider Gmail below.   Enforce sender’s email address in the “From” field.”

    If this option is activated, the above-specified sender email setting is used for all emails and ignores the values set by other plugins.

    Hi @webgap

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    First off, please ensure that you have followed every step outlined in our documentation or video tutorial found here.

    If you have already done so, do you get any errors when you attempt to authorize the connection by clicking the orange button that should appear below the Authorized Redirect URI field.

    If you have authorized the connection, please try removing the connection (by clicking the red button that should replace the orange button, then re-authorize the connection. The From Email dropdown field should then be available.

    Hello @dakeg

    Thank you for your support. Unfortunately, the issue persists. I tried your suggestion: “If you have already authorized the connection, please remove it (by clicking the red button that should replace the orange one) and re-authorize the connection. The ‘From Email’ dropdown should then be available.”

    However, this step didn’t help. The following message still appears in the mentioned field:

    “Please authorize the Gmail email provider first. Specify the sender’s email address in the ‘From’ field.”

    I still can’t select any email. Here are the current log details:

    Versions:
    WordPress: 6.3.1
    WordPress MS: No
    PHP: 8.1.23
    WP Mail SMTP: 3.9.0

    Params:
    Mailer: gmail
    Constants: No
    Client ID/Secret: Yes
    Auth Code: Yes
    Access Token: Yes

    Server:
    OpenSSL: OpenSSL 1.1.1n 15 Mar 2022
    PHP.allow_url_fopen: Yes
    PHP.stream_socket_client(): Yes
    PHP.fsockopen(): Yes
    PHP.curl_version(): 7.74.0

    Hi @webgap

    Thanks for getting back to us.

    That certainly is strange.

    • Just to confirm, are you using the latest version of WordPress, WP Mail SMTP, your other plugins and theme?
    • Also, what other plugins do you currently have active?
    • Please try switching to a different mailer, click “save settings” switch back to the Google mailer, then click “save settings”.
    • Have you tried using a different mailer to see if you run into any issues? As a test, you can try using the SendLayer (free trial) or Brevo mailers (free tier).

    Hi @dakeg

    Thank you for your prompt response and suggestions.

    I must apologize for the oversight on my part. It turns out I had forgotten to create a Gmail account, which was the root cause of the issue. I appreciate your patience and assistance throughout this process.

    To answer your questions, I am using the latest versions of WordPress, WP Mail SMTP, and all other plugins and themes. I will also consider your suggestions and try using the SendLayer or Brevo mailers for testing purposes.

    Once again, thank you for your support, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

    Best regards,
