Empty Host?

    Please excuse the newbie question. I’m building my very first website on WordPress right now and trying to be as prepared as I can if anything happens to my site. So I’ve got WPB2D going and it seems to be working fine! Yay.

    My question is – I’ve been reading the instructions on how to restore (just incase I ever have any issues) and – again excuse the ignorance of my question – but what on earth is an ’empty host’.

    (“Simply download WPB2D Simple Restore and upload it to an empty host”.)

    My site is currently hosted by Hostgator, if that helps.

    Can you please let me know what ‘upload to an empty host’ actually means? Step by step would be good as I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who has this question.

    Gday Christina,

    By empty host I mean one without an installation of WordPress.

    I am actually going to replace that wizard with a better solution soon.
