Empty Paragraph Tags

When using the shortcode or Elementor widget at choosing not to display the Excerpt, the HTML still generates and empty p tag (<p class="wpp-excerpt"></p>). This creates an accessibility warning for an Empty Paragraph Tag. Please change to not output any HTML at all if certain meta fields are set to Hide in the settings. Thanks!
