Hi Chris,
The podcast feed was changed in version 1.8 and updated subsequently. Do you have the latest SM?
Assuming the podcast feed is in the default location, what do you see when you go to <your-url.com>/feed/podcast

Hi khornberg,
Thanks for your reply! I am running version 1.8.2, which I’m fairly sure is the latest version?
The feed outputs the fields from the “Settings” page, however doesn’t output any sermons. I’ve updated the original post with the feed URL.
The last lines of the feed are:
</itunes:category>

Thanks
Hi Chris, I’m experiencing the exact same problem. I see that your feed seems to be working fine now (it contains sermons now). How did you manage to fix it?
@germankiwi: If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic.
@esmi, I don’t require assistance from the devs, who have stated that they do not provide assistance in these forums. I’m simply asking a fellow user to share the solution he reached for his problem, which is a perfectly valid thing for me to ask on *this* thread. One of the main advantages and purposes of these forums is for users to help other users.
I’m not changing the topic of this thread, nor stealing the focus away from the OP. I’m asking him a question about *his* problem that *he* posted about.
A quote from the Forum Welcome page:
“The point of helping out on the ww.wp.xz.cn forums is to help out on the forums. Remember, we don’t want to be this guy. Leave something for the next person who searches to have an answer too.”

Hi GermanKiwi,
I resolved this issue using the same solution to “Player not working in IOS”. I seems to be a fairly common problem with this plugin, which leads me to believe the developer should really have a page dedicated to it somewhere.
To fix the issue, go back through your “Sermons” and select the already uploaded MP3 file. In the box that comes up, click “File URL”, then “Use as location of MP3”.
It seems to be the Link URL method that breaks the podcasting feature. Despite my WordPress installation having “FILE” as the default, I still had to perform the steps above to have the files show up in podcasting. Perhaps the default only applies to image file types?
Hope this works for you.
Thanks Chris, I appreciate that! I’ll give it a go and see how I get on. 🙂
Cheers!
Hmm – that hasn’t helped me after all. 🙁
I actually had not been uploading my MP3 files to the Media Library – I was uploading them (using FTP) into their own unique folder on my server, and then just pasting the URL to the MP3 file directly into the “Location of MP3” field on the Edit Sermon page (without needing to click the Upload File button). This works perfectly fine in terms of the MP3 displaying and playing on the sermon post page, but my podcast was empty like yours was.
So I’ve just tried using the Media Library – I’ve uploaded an MP3 to the Media Library, so it’s in the regular Media Library location, then I’ve gone back to the Edit Sermon page and clicked the Upload File button there, then the Media Library tab, then selected the new MP3 file (by clicking “Show”), then clicked “File URL” which puts the URL of the MP3 file into the “Link URL” field. Then “Use as Location of MP3”. This puts the new URL into the MP3 field. Save the post, and the new MP3 location works within the post itself for playback – but alas, the podcast is still empty! 🙁
I’m gonna have to contact the developers directly to get some help with this, I think.
Thanks for your assistance in sharing your solution though! I’m sure it will help others.
