Same with me. Ever since the latest update to version 5.2, a blank, red border appears underneath the submit box. On multiple websites.
Same here… a red rectangular border appears underneath the submit button… I’ve rolled back to the previous version.
WP version 5.4.2
PHP version 7.3
I cleared the WordPress server cache (LiteSpeed Cache) and the error went away.
revert back to 5.1.9
and next time wait a few weeks before updating CF7… i learned my lesson a long time ago π
It’s a cache issue.. Empty the cache and the red rectangle disappears..
Ah! I cleared my theme’s cache and also my browser and it went away. Thank you!
Also checked it on a browser I typically don’t use and did not see the red border.
That seems like the first troubleshooting step that I completely overlooked. DX
Thank you all for your responses.
Yes, it was a Cache issue but somehow it has managed to clear itself!
I loaded it in Chrome, I normally use Edge and yes the red rectangle wasn’t there and then I found that it had also disappeared in Edge so I’m presuming that it was a Cache issue but how its rectified itself I dont know as haven’t as yet cleared any cache!
Thanks again
Same issue, but clearing the theme cache worked.
I definitely need to wait on updating my other sites.
just clear all caches problem will resolve
Hey All
I’m experiencing the same issue, I cleared all cache on the website and my pc (just incase) and the problem is still there.
My footer is also displaying differently than usual for no apparent reason.
Weirdly I’m not experiencing the issue on mobile at all.
Any clues?
This sounds very similar to https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/odd-red-box-showing-at-bottom-of-forms-before-being-submitted/
I’ve just been working on a site someone else put together. I can code out the box but would like to know why its showing up.
