    for the autoptimize-files the easy fix is disabling the “serve as static files”-option in which case the optimized CSS & JS is served by PHP, ensuring compression.

    for the files that are not autoptimized, you’ll have to (ask your hoster/ it-guys & girls to) change your webserver settings to ensure CSS and JS-files (and SVG and font-files and HTML ..) are compressed (gzipped, deflated or br’ed).
