Enable sticky based on minimum height

    Would it be possible to also add the option to not sticky an item if the screen HEIGHT is smaller than a certain amount? The reason for this is our sticky item is a tall form and if it is stickied when the window height is less than the form height, the entire form can’t be seen and filled in until the user scrolls to the very end of the long page. It would help a lot if we could disable sticky based on width AND height. Best sticky plugin for WordPress though.

    I think your situation is a little special and unique (and you’re actually the first one to request this). I don’t think there’s much need for this in general, so I probably won’t put it in a future version, but I’ve created a custom version that should work in your situation.

    1. download the customized version of the plugin from https://bitbucket.org/senff/sticky-menu-or-anything-wp/get/custom/abdullahthinkun-conditional-by-height.zip
    2. unzip the file to your hard drive
    3. copy all of its contents to /wp-content/plugins/sticky-menu-or-anything (overriding all existing files in that directory, if you already had it installed before)

    Please note:
    – if you ever download/install any future updates of the plugin, the customizations will be lost and you’d have to download the customized version again
    – I’ve built in something that makes you NOT get a notification when there’s a new version available (to avoid the risk of updating and then overwriting all the customizations)

    Wow thanks a lot! It works great. So do I keep both plugins installed and this one just overrides the other one? That seems to be what it’s doing now. Would there be any point updating the main plugin if this one overrides it though?

    I think you can deactivate/delete the original one and just keep using this customized one. As this one will probably serve all your needs, there’s not really a need to update it anyway, I’d say. 🙂
