How can I enable/disable a border on the collapsing boxes? When I found the plugin the screenshot shows a border around the expanding box, however after installing on my wordpress site, there is no border and I’m unable to find (with my limited skills) a way to enable/disable this.

You will need to have a bit of CSS knowledge or the willingness to learn.
Also if you can provide a link to which screenshot you are referring to, as well as the example on your page, you will receive more specific instruction on how to resolve this.
