Sorry for the late reply. We have had a few people point out that the enable/disable settings are a little confusing. I will make a note of that and talk to the team about how we can make that less confusing. Also I would encourage you to check out our Wiki and YouTube channel for some helpful information. There is a tutorial right on our YouTube channel about what you are asking. But either way I shall explain it here.
Disable means that it won’t automatic update plugins. So if you select disable on automatic plugin updates it won’t allow automatic plugin updates.
Enable means that it will automatically update all plugins.
Select individually means that you can go into the Plugins tab and select which plugins you want to automatically update and which ones you want to disable automatic updates for.
Default means that Easy Updates Manager won’t make any changes to your plugin automatic updates. If you have added filters to your wp-config.php to control automatic plugin updates then this is the best way to bypass Easy Updates Manager and use what you added on your own instead.
Hopefully this all makes sense. Like I said we have created multiple videos about Easy Updates Manager where we walk through what each setting does. Also the Wiki is updated constantly to provide update-to-date information.
