Enclosure url missing

    I’ve noticed that the enclosure url line is missing since the latest wordpress version was updated at the beginning of September. This means the files are noticed by podcatchers on android. Is this something powerpress can fix?

    Where were you seeing the enclosure URL line?

    In PowerPress it would be the Media URL box in the podcast episode area of the post editor.

    I was looking through the rss feed generated by wordpress. I didn’t even notice that one had to plug the mp3 url into the post editor section – I thought it was handled automatically. I will try that and see what happens. I think Jetpack was wreaking havoc on rss feeds for 6 weeks prior to the Oct 13 update.

    Hello @fakeologist,

    Just following up, are you able to use the episode media URL box without any issues?

    I am not sure why the custom fields no longer shows the “enclosure” fields, but previous versions of WordPress would show them.

    I wasn’t using the plugin properly. I am now. The enclosure field is working now since I am inserting it properly.

    Jetpack was messing with rss feeds. It’s updated now and seems ok. Thanks.
