When a user submits a form with Forminator on our website, an email is sent to us with the answers (via the Email Notifications setting in the form). Are these emails that are sent secure? Are they encrypted? If so, could you link me to the documentation that says that? I have not found it yet when I have researched. If there is no encryption, how can we make that happen? Thanks in advance.

I hope you are doing well today.

The information from submissions are stored as plain text in the database. This also refers to emails which your server sends. In the first place your site should use SSL. Also security and following data protection laws is admin or domain owner responsibility.

Thank you. Do you have any recommendations for any settings or plug-ins to assist with the security of emails being sent when a customer submits a form through Forminator? For instance I know there’s a plug-in called WP PGP Encrypted Emails that works with some contact form plug-ins. Just let me know if there is anything like this that you can recommend. Thanks in advance.

You can use integration with FortressDB which will has encryption:
