    Hello There! A couple questions.

    1)do we add the encryption key that we set up in General settings to the decrypt backup as well?

    2)I am sending it to the online data base– what is the procedure to RESTORE from there? I dont understand sql and some of the other lingo.
    Is there an easy step by step procedure?

    Hi DazzelDum,

    There is a few topics in the forum about restoring, all very similar. I’ll be making a full website page with instructions and pictures etc to help people soon.

    The overview of it is to upload the filesystem, then restore the database to an empty database. If the database was newly created (new host for example) you can then edit wp-config.php in Notepad and update the database information (DB_HOST, DB_USER etc)

    We’re going to make a recovery script to do all this automatically eventually.

    Thank you fo getting back to me Jason. I really appreciate it.

    This plugin gets some fantastic reviews but to restore automatically would make it KING!
